Ice Storm picture

Well this ice storm has not been as bad as predicted--thank goodness. We heard different crashing sounds on the roof from smaller branches breaking. Our persimmon tree branch broke and landed on the electric wire going to the outdoor utility light pole. The sun came out for a short period of time and created dazzling bright white from all the ice. It was beautiful.

The Extremely Cold "Carriage" Ride

This picture is from the trip to Nauvoo when we thought we'd want to go on a carriage ride. It was extremely cold And there was a wind chill. I was so glad they had so many quilted blankets. We were a wrapped up like mummies. It was fun to look back on but at the moment it was not so good. It made me think of the pioneers and what they must have gone through to have to leave in the dead of winter. Brrrrrrrrr COLD!

Movie Stuff

We watched the extended family picture video and everyone in the castle liked seeing themselves and everyone else. So pony girl decided to take some shots and make a video to send back out to everyone. We have the initial footage on the computer and hope to have something posted Saturday? Hmmm.
It is very cold here now. Should be zero degrees tonight, however, the major parts of the storm which was supposed to hit our area went around us. We are blessed to have snow for sledding and yet not too much of it to cause trouble.
We recently watched the A&E version of Sir Walter Scott's IvanhoeIvanhoe DVD. It was very good and was nice and long.
Happy Twenty-Ten to all!
