The New Chapter of Life

2019-02-10 Sunday 9:50pm
This little post has been in my drafts since May of 2014. I am finally getting around to adding back in the images which were lost once the Posterous site went down. The Knights and Princesses stories must continue and be of value to all shiny eyed people remembering these days of yonder past.

Back May 2014 sometime. . . ago.
We are in a new phase of life and many things have changed. Our little people are not so little any longer. They are dancing and have tried out for a play for this Summer among other things.
I noticed my images which were posted via Posterous are now links to their site just saying that the site is closed. I will need to find the images and reconnect them.
We have a garden planted and hope it will do better than last year. =) We have had a few thunderstorms to help with watering etc. ;)
I have a video project needing to be finished before June because there will be another one then to be finished as well. I will also be videotaping Graduation too. Oh my!
We are also trying to graduate to a smart phone using Android. This is the one we will test out.

Wild and Wacky Weather

We have been having really crazy weather here-lightning storms, thunderstorms, and rain, rain, little more rain, a small break and lots more rain and rain again. Oh and did I mention rain? No? Well then, rain and rain and more rain.

This has been a common picture on our NOAA weather radar. in this picture, we are currently not having rain, believe it or not. Can you find us amidst all the red, yellow and green colors? Most of the rain that we have been receiving has been coming out of the West. So we should be getting some more rain in a little while. Imagine that.

We do feel really blessed though that this time around, amidst the extreme amount of rain, that we do not have any water flooding our basement. Some places have received up to 10 inches or more of rain in the last three days. Many businesses near creeks have been flooded.
There was a tornado at the St. Louis airport as well a couple of days ago. And we are not out of the woods yet with a forecast for more rain this forthcoming week.

Morning Attitude

This just in from Castle Headquarters:
Little Knight woke up with a few thoughts on his mind:
"I'm thirsty. . . .
"I'm thirsty AND I'm hungry." (thinking . . .)
"I'm thirsty, hungry, play-ey, but NOT work-ey!"

It's just a cute innocent way of saying, "I have needs, this morning, Mom, and I am really interested in getting to the fun stuff, but no chores, thank you. I'm not interested."

Do you have a CPR?

"Dad when will you borrow the CPR again?" We have been watching Star Wars and some of its lingo has rubbed off on Little Knight. So when we borrowed a VCR to watch some of our video tapes (including Star Wars) it was dubbed a CPR (C3P0 & VCR). :)
