Daddy Close Your Eyes

The little princess in our family led me by the hand saying, " Daddy close your eyes and come see what I made." I followed peeking just enough to make sure I wouldn't run into a wall or step on a Lego brick. Once we reached the "studio" I was allowed to really see. "Daddy! I made our Church out of blocks!" she beamed. "And look! There is our green car" (It just so happened to be the fisher price forklift). She was all smiles at her creation. Children are wonderful.

Wonderful Handmade Gifts

I received these grand, handcrafted gifts recently for my birthday. I have a stack of shrinky-dink cows-each a different breed. The other item is colored paper, cut in thin strips and glued down. I love these items Ducky and Bunny made. Thank you both!

Turtle Pancake

Here is a special fun breakfast for a great day! This is my breakfast plate. =)

Valentines Fish

This is too awesome! Duckygirl and Bunnygirl made the family a bowl of fish (even though they aren't real they can float!). Then for fish food they gave us tiny crumpled up tinfoil which acted like fish food as it also floated on the top. I really loved this. =)

Apple iPod Touch

At work, in our IT department we have been using the 3rd generation of Apple's iPod Touch. We all absolutely love having our email and calendaring right in our pockets while helping people around the campus. It makes it incredibly easy to set up a meeting or change a meeting, which update immediately on the "Outlook" server so those sharing your calendar can see the new information.

It allows you to gather all your email from any account and show it in one list as well or just show a particular email's Inbox. I can have an automated report run which gives me statistics concerning the number of pages we have scanned into our document imaging system in CSV format. I can also open Word and Excel files sent via email. I also love reading the PDF files I can download or the one's I create myself.

While traveling I appreciate listening to audio books, podcasts, and music. It is an excellent tool. Now, we will be getting the new 4th generation iPod Touch and I am excited because it has a HD photo/video camera. I should be able to grab more impromptu photos and videos.

Old Time Music Ozark Heritage Festival

I have a fun, interesting, and varyied life. One part of that life is to be the creative director/editor of commercials which encourage the surrounding communities to come and participate in the signature festival of West Plains, Missouri, the Old Time Music Ozark Heritage Festival. Luckily we don't have to travel far to tape the festivities for the next year. It is lots of fun to be there and to edit video. =) (click on the title's link to get to the commercial)
